Happy Friday! Woo hoo! Friday is just the best, isn’t it? My husband has been traveling all week for work and those who know me, know I don’t do well on my own. I can’t really a recall a time in my life when I’ve said, “ya know, I think I need some alone time”. That just doesn’t happen for whatever reason. I love to be around my people and I pride myself on being a taddddd on the clingy side. I am who I am!
In honor of my husband’s homecoming, I’m bringing you a look that I think would be so cute for a date night. Since it’s just Aaron and I, any time we go out is a “date night” but it’s still fun to call it that 🙂 Aaron got me the pink blazer from Vici for Christmas and gushing over it as soon as I opened the box. I love a good blazer. I feel like almost any blazer is timeless and it makes dressing up outfits so EASY. The black velvet top under the blazer is one I got at Minash a while ago and it was a purchases I wore once and then forgot about. OOPS. I recently re-discovered it and happy I did. It takes a plain black t-shirt and adds more interest. The shirt looked a bit see-through on the hanger but I’ve paired it with both a black bra and bralette and think it looked great each time. Depending on the look I’m going for, I don’t mind if my bra shows through a top but if that’s not your thing, you could easily put a nude colored cami underneath. And of course, heels make every look a bit more romantic and since date nights, at least for us, rarely call for lots of walking, I’m all about them here. Everything about this look can be de-contructed and made into something more casual or even dressier, just depending on the look you’re going for.
I’m not quite sure what date night has in store for us tonight but I’m sure it’ll involve food and beers…some of my favorite things!
Thanks for stopping by! Have a great weekend! Xoxo…Holly
