Hippie Vibes

During the rise of Pinterest, I remember specifically searching for “French Braids”.  I love braiding my hair and this was an entire new untapped world of resources for me! One of the first images I loved was this by Julia Engel of Gal Meets Glam.  At this point I’d never really followed fashion bloggers so when I found her feed I felt like I found this new best friend!  This person is telling me about her life, showing me what she wears and how she fixes her hair? Amazing!  It was at this exact point, following this specific Pinterest search, that I developed a love for fashion bloggers.    I’ve followed her ever since, and many others along the way, but have a special place in my heart for Julia.

Julia also introduced me to another blogging first, buying clothing on a blogger recommendation.  Now while this is super popular now and it’s become second nature to listen to blogger “friends” and let them influence you into what to buy – it wasn’t always like that.  But when I saw this post from Gal Meets Glam I immediately thought, “Yes I am buying that celestial tee”.  The way she put the outfit together was right up my alley.  So there we had my first of many influenced purchases.

Fast forward to today’s look wearing this exact tee!  In this look I have paired my celestial tee with some high waisted flared jeans.  I purchased these from Target on a whim and really love how they can tie an outfit together.  The high waist and frayed hem keeps the look on trend and not dated as some flared jeans can do.  This fringe jacket is another trendy piece I purchased from Shein, and again they did not disappoint!  I really am pleased with my recent Shein purchases and currently have about six things in my cart I need to just pull the trigger on!
