Ah Tuesday, we meet again. Naturally this week is inching by because I have some exciting weekend plans. I’m heading to Pittsburgh, PA to spend the weekend cuddling my oldest friend’s TWO new Boxer puppies and Oh Em Gee, people, I might die from the cuteness. I already know it’s going to happen. Between Robin and myself, it’s no secret I am the animal lover so making a 5+ hour road trip to see puppies is definitely not out of my norm.
Before getting into today’s post, I want to let ya’ll know that Robin freaking KILLED IT this weekend with Dancing with the Stars-Columbus Style. Her and Patrick were sensational. It also doesn’t hurt that the whole night raised over $67,000 for Children’s Inc. & Family School Partners. If you missed our IG stories of the night- don’t worry, I got you! They’re saved on our page and you can check out the night for yourself 🙂
So todays look…. this look might seem like a pretty basic winter one- sweater, scarf, booties, & Starbucks (duh!). And there’s nothing wrong with that. This type of look is a pretty common one for me but what’s different about this one is the sweater is perfect for now AND transitioning to spring. I’ve said before that I’m more of a dress-for-the weather type of girl, not necessarily dress-for-the-season but this sweater is one less I have to worry about because it will transition so well. Its cream color and eyelet pattern are perfect for warmer months and for now, I can easily layer. This sweater would be super cute with a chambray collared shirt underneath and when it gets warmer, cut off shorts, bralette, and strappy sandals. I’ve already worn it a couple of times, swapping out different shoes, pants, and accessories. I picked up this sweater at Minash but *real time update* I was just told it’s sold out. Bah! But I’ll link a similar one 😉 The scarf I paired with today’s look was really trendy last year, I know it sold out several times, but I’m still crushing on it now and it pairs well with a lot of looks.
I know it can be tempting to start buying for warmer months because when you set foot into any department store after January 1, there are swimsuits and beach chairs already on display but I think there is something to be said for slowing down and enjoying and DRESSING for the weather you’re in because, really, ain’t nothing you can do about it. But if temptation gets the best of you, might as well buy things that suit you now and later!
Thanks for stopping by!
